Each department can be monitored for customers entering and leaving, perhaps by different routes. The timestamp information is particularly useful in areas such as a cafeteria.

This type of application may have a number of special displays and it is particularly useful to know how popular each is. The manual recording (using assigned function keys) can be used to count types of enquiry, telephone calls, and the like, perfect for recording information for the National TIC database Entice.
